batch 84 ka ba talaga?

Batch ’84 Ka Ba Talaga?
by Arnel Maligaya

This is a test to find out how Bosconian you are and if you truly belong to Batch ’84.

  • Sino si "taga" at anong subject ang tinuro niya?

  • Sino sa ka-batch natin ang may "invisible car", "a garage that’s as big as the Araneta Coliseum", and is related to Cory Aquino and Ferdinand Marcos? (Marami pa siyang ilusyon!)

  • Sino ang Grade three P.E. teacher natin na may pugad sa ulo? Naging adviser siya nung anong grade tayo? Kanino siya natsismis na may gusto?

  • We had batchmates who joined the play "The Bridge" under the tutelage of Fr. Reuter. Sino sila?

  • Mr. Villegas was our art teacher when we were in grade five and grade six. His two sons were also Bosconians like us, higher batch nga lang. What did he often say in Spanish and what is its English meaning?

  • "Oh how I long to sing you a song of love. To describe the happiness….." Remember this song? One of our batch mates lead the singing of this song in one of our prayer assemblies. Wala nga lang siya sa tono! Sino siya?

  • Ms. Merced, Mr. Nabong are just some of our Work Education teachers, but who could ever forget Mr. Tan? Upon entering the classroom, Mr. Tan would start hanging these four "virtues" that he would like us to have to produce a fantastic result out of the coco shells that he gave us. What are these virtues?

  • Franco Felizarta was our valedictorian and Tito Martinez was our salutatorian when we graduated from elementary. There was actually another student vying for valedictorian. What’s his name?

  • Alex Cazcarro is one guy everybody loves to hate. Whether he is talking to his staff or shouting at them, he always puffs a cigarette or two. What is the brand of his cigarette?

  • Trinidad, Esteban, Limbaga, Papa, Valedo, Mance...Sino ang naiba? Bakit?

  • We had different prayer books in high school and in the elementary. Ano ang tawag sa prayer books natin?

  • Who is Gorio? Adviser siya ng anong section?

  • Sino sa kabatch natin ang may kapangalang artista?

  • From Prep to 4th Year High, one of the main concerns of the Salesians was our spiritual life. Different priests and rectors guided us. Who were the rectors during our time?

  • Pang-ilang batch tayo ng Don Bosco?

homecoming 2007

Masaya talaga kapag kasama ang barkada! Wow, matching shirts pa.

Gathering at Fr. Vester Casaclang's office before the celebration.

Click here to see Arnel Maligaya's photos of the Homecoming. Great photos, Arnel. Nice shirts, too! I can't wait for mine.

Homecoming 2007 was hosted by Batch 82. So, two more years (2009), it will be our turn! Let's make that homecoming the greatest ever!

mick cadelina in manila

Mick Cadelina has landed in Manila! Mick delivered our donation (from the U.S.) for the shirts at Fr. Vester's office and was greeted by several of our classmates. Nakakainggit si Mick!

View more photos of his visit here. Thank you Arnel Maligaya for the photos.

finding gawayne

Gawayne Prudencio: In Los Angeles since 2002. Spent 1st and 4th years at DBTI Makati. Between those years, he lived in Canada. Went to DLSU but graduated at UST. He and I finally got together. Magkapitbahay pala kami! He lives just a mile or 2 away from my house. Small world talaga. Last time we saw each other was when we graduated from high school! So, obviously, it was great to see an old classmate again.
